Premier League club, Arsenal, have completed the signing of Greek forward, Christos Tzolis, to bolster its attack line for the 2026/27 season.
Arsenal disclosed that Tzolis joined the club from Belgian League side, Club Brugge, in a deal worth £34 million, for a period of five years, describing the new recruit as an excellent player who could help in its targets domestically and its goals in the next campaign and beyond.
Sporting Director, Andrea Berta, mentioned that the signee, who scored 43 goals in and provided 45 assists 108 appearances for Club Brugge, would raise the technical level of the side, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm and a strong mentality.
”He is an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability,” Berta said after the club secured the deal on Thursday.
”Christos naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line. He has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three years,” he added.
The 24-year-old, who already played in the Premier League for Norwich and co-incidentally had his debut in the Canaries’ 1-0 defeat to the Gunners in September 2021, said he had a positive conversation with Mikel Arteta, which paved the way to his decision to join the North London club.
”We talked about everything,” Tzolis said, and added, ”about the club, about myself, about his plans, about me of course, it was only positive things.
”I’m always hungry to score or give the final pass to my team-mates. And I can say I work hard for the team, also in the defensive part.”
