A member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, has described the re-nomination of Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election as a major boost to the All Progressives Congress’ chances in the polls.
In a statement released on Thursday and signed by his Media Aide, Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji, Jaji said the decision affirms the administration’s direction and signals continuity for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Jaji, who represents Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara State, said the choice of Shettima again as running mate is a milestone to the Victory of the All Progressives Congress APC in the 2027 general elections in the country.
He noted that the re-nomination reflects President Tinubu’s confidence in the Vice President’s performance over the last three years.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision demonstrates confidence in the Vice president’s unflinching support, loyalty, competence, experience and invaluable contributions to the administration and the Nation at large,” Jaji stated.
The lawmaker further described the move as the wisest decision at the moment.
He added that it provides a clear roadmap victory of the party at all levels.
Jaji, who leads the Jajiya Political Movement in Nigeria, said the group has already endorsed the Tinubu/Shettima ticket for 2027.
According to him, the ticket will once again earn the confidence and mandate of Nigerians in 2027 elections.
He also extended appreciation on behalf of himself and the Jajiya Political Movement to President Tinubu for retaining Shettima on the ticket.
The statement urged the Vice President to sustain his commitment to the administration’s goals.
“I once again congratulate His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima GCON and Pray Almighty Allah grants him greater wisdom, strength, and good health to continue to serve our dear Nation alongside our amiable President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in advancing the progress, stability and prosperity of Nigeria,” Jaji said.
