It was generally expected by US and Israel that their war on Iran will be over in a week or so. Many a time they came close to agreeing to a reasonable framework since April 7, but deep trust deficit driven by trying to get the best kill with maximalist demands has carried it beyond 100 days despite a prevailing yet highly volatile and fragile ceasefire.
