Tension erupted in Kofan Kaura, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State on Friday after residents were seen burning campaign materials linked to Governor Abdullahi Sule ahead of the 2027 senatorial election.
The incident, captured in a short video, also showed protesters setting fire to All Progressives Congress (APC) flags and party symbols, including brooms, as anger over the political development intensified.
