“Nigerians please help me beg stella to allow our husband rest in peace” – Late Mr Ibu’s first wife responds to Stella Okafor’s claims
The first wife of the late Nollywood actor Mr Ibu has publicly responded to recent claims made by Stella Okafor during an interview with King Mitchy, making fresh allegations over the late actor’s properties and funds donated during his illness.
According to the woman, Stella Okafor, whom she described as Mr Ibu’s fifth wife, played a role in the arrest of her first son and their adopted daughter while the actor was receiving treatment.
She claimed the two were overseeing donations made by Nigerians at the time.
She further that Stella sold one of the late actor’s properties in Enugu and later attempted to dispose of another house in Lagos after the family secured a rented apartment for her following reports that the property had become unsuitable.
Fresh allegations emerge after interview
Speaking on the controversy, the late actor’s first wife said, “Stella Okafor, whom King Mitchy interviewed, is the fifth wife of my late husband, while I am his first wife. When my husband was on his sickbed, Stella had my first son and our adopted daughter arrested because they were in charge of the money Nigerians donated.”
She added, “Nigerians please help me beg stella to allow our husband rest in peace. You are the 5th wife, why did you keep on flaunting your children as the only children of Mr Ibu, how about Amara, onyebuchi, Valentine, the twins in porthacort and other children in Ghana?”
Family dispute fuels online reactions
The statement has generated widespread reactions on social media, with many users calling for clarity over the allegations surrounding the late actor’s estate.
As of the time of reporting, the claims remain allegations from one party in the ongoing family dispute and have not been independently verified.
