SHANAHAN University, Onitsha, has appointed Very Rev. Fr. (Prof.) Dominic Nonso Obielosi as its Acting Vice Chancellor.
Until his appointment, Obielosi, a Professor of Biblical Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, served as Rector of the Holy Family Youth Village, Amansea, for more than 15 years.
He also served as the immediate past Head of the Department of Religion and Human Relations at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Obielosi is currently the Director of the university’s Centre for Community and Rural Development.
In a congratulatory message, Very Rev. Fr. Martin Obum Ikeagu described the appointment as a significant responsibility and expressed confidence in Obielosi’s ability to succeed.
He prayed for God’s grace and wisdom to guide the new Acting Vice Chancellor in his new role.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the university’s leadership and advance its academic and institutional development goals.
