The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Katsina State has commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for what it termed regular approval of financial assistance to augment feeding of corps members during orientation exercises.
The scheme said Radda’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of corps members serving in the state through regular financial assistance has improved their feeding and performance.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with THISDAY on Wednesday, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Evans Okwor, said the financial intervention had significantly assisted in improving feeding arrangements during orientation exercises in the state.
He stated that the governor’s support has contributed to creating a conducive environment for corps members and has strengthened the implementation of the scheme’s programmes in the state.
Okwor said: “We appreciate your (Governor Dikko Umaru Radda) steadfastness and commitment to the welfare of corps members posted to the state, especially your regular approval of financial assistance to augment the feeding of corps members during the orientation course.”
He assured Governor Radda of the scheme’s continued commitment to delivering quality services to the people of the state through corps members deployed to critical sectors such as healthcare, education, rural development and social enlightenment.
