A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State, Mikail Bmitosahi, popularly known as Sannayan Minna, has resigned his membership of the ruling party, citing personal convictions and differences with its current direction.
In a resignation letter addressed to the Chairman of APC Limawa B Ward in Chanchaga Local Government Area, Bmitosahi said his resignation takes immediate effect.
The letter, dated June 24, 2026, stated that the decision followed deep reflection and was based on “personal convictions of ethics and morality.” He said he could no longer reconcile his personal principles with what he described as the party’s current direction and practices.
Bmitosahi explained that he joined the APC with the intention of contributing to community development and serving the people through the political platform.
However, he said recent developments within the party had compelled him to withdraw his membership.
He stressed that his resignation should not be seen as a personal attack on any individual or leader within the party, adding that the decision was guided solely by his convictions.
The resignation letter also requested that his name be removed from the party register and that he be relieved of all party responsibilities with immediate effect.
“I wish the APC and its members well in future endeavours,” he stated.
Copies of the letter were also sent to the APC Chairman of Chanchaga Local Government Area and the APC Chairman in Niger State.
The development adds to growing political realignments ahead of future electoral contests in Niger State and across the country.
