Aviation authorities have raised concerns over a reported unauthorised flight operation from Asaba Airport in Delta State, an incident that has triggered renewed scrutiny of regulatory compliance within Nigeria’s aviation sector.
According to initial reports, the flight, which departed without proper authorisation, has prompted the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to take immediate regulatory action, including the suspension of the operator’s permit pending further investigation.
The NCAA said the decision was necessary to ensure strict adherence to aviation safety standards and to prevent future breaches that could compromise passenger safety and airspace control. Officials added that investigations are ongoing to determine how the flight was cleared or allowed to operate outside approved procedures.
