The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, has directed it’s members to cease holding vigils, overnight prayer meetings over concerns of insecurity in the community the country.
The MFM gave the directive to all it’s nationwide branches, also ordering the to engage in worship services not later than 8pm, informing them to strictly adhere to the instruction to ensure safety of it members from attacks by bandits.
The message was contained in an internal circular dated June 5, 2026, and signed by the Director of Administration, MFM International Headquarters and Nigeria, Temitope Olawale.
The ministry directed all overseers, zonal pastors, branch pastors, groups and departments to comply strictly with the directive, and further instructed Mega Regional Overseers to ensure that the information is communicated to all regions, zones and branches under their supervision for immediate implementation.
The development comes amid growing concerns over insecurity in parts of the country, with religious organisations increasingly adopting precautionary measures to protect worshippers and other participants at church gatherings.
