NUC approves 14 courses for Cross River varsity

The National Universities Commission has approved 14 academic programmes for the Cross River State University of Education and Entrepreneurship, Akamkpa.

The approval is expected to strengthen the institution’s capacity to train skilled manpower across diverse disciplines while broadening access to higher education in Cross River State.

Announcing the approval, the university media unit said, “The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 14 academic programmes for the Cross River State University of Education and Entrepreneurship (UEE), Akamkpa.”

The institution added that “admission into these programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session will commence in earnest.”

According to the university, the approved programmes are B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Public Administration, B.Sc. Hospitality and Tourism Management, B.Sc. Marketing, B.Sc. Agribusiness, B.Sc. Mass Communication, B.Sc. Social Work, D.PT. Physiotherapy, B.MLS. Medical Laboratory Science, B.Rad. Radiography, B.Sc. Public Health, B.N.Sc. Nursing Science and B.Sc. Computer Science.

The university urged prospective candidates to take advantage of the opportunity, stating, “All candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and secure seamless admission into UEE, Akamkpa.”

It further reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence, saying, “UEE remains committed to providing quality education, entrepreneurship-driven learning, and professional excellence.”
