Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has shared his opinion on the long-running debate over who is the better player between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Galatasaray forward was asked during a recent social media interaction to rank the two football legends.
However, instead of choosing one player ahead of the other, Osimhen placed both stars at the top.
‘Both are number one’
Osimhen explained that he does not believe in ranking Messi and Ronaldo against each other because of their impact on football.
According to the Nigerian striker, both players deserve equal recognition for their achievements and quality.
“I don’t do no Messi and Ronaldo ranking,” Osimhen said.
“Why can’t we put them together as number one? For me, Messi and Ronaldo are number one on my ranking.

Messi and Ronaldo are both competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, representing Argentina and Portugal respectively.
