Farming season: Ebonyi Rep Ogah distributes 5,000 bags of fertiliser, others to constituents

Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency of Ebonyi state, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, weekend, distributed 5,000 bags of fertiliser, rice seedlings and N50 million cash support to farmers and stakeholders in the constituency to boost agricultural activities this farming season.

The distribution, which took place at Blessed Martins College of Nursing Science, Ohatekwe Amagu Ikwo in Ikwo Local Government Area (LGA), attracted farmers’ associations, elders, support groups and political stakeholders from the area.

Speaking during the event, Ogah attributed his achievements in the National Assembly to the support and enabling environment provided by Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

“I will continue to support the policies and programmes of Governor Francis Nwifuru because his administration has created the enabling environment for National Assembly members from Ebonyi state to succeed in their representations,” Ogah said.

He assured the governor of massive votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates in the constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Earlier, Ebonyi state chairman of APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, described Ogah as a performing legislator committed to quality representation.

Represented by the APC deputy chairman, Hon. Chinedu Alphonsus Nwali, Emegha said: “Comrade Ogah has become a model for quality representation through his empowerment programmes, scholarship interventions, constituency projects and regular engagement with the people.”

He commended the lawmaker for distributing the items at a critical period when farmers were fully preparing for cultivation, noting that the intervention would enhance food production in the constituency.

Also speaking, Speaker of the Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, said Ogah had remained committed to improving the welfare of his constituents through impactful programmes and development projects.
