Enugu police arrests three illegal arm dealers during raid

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested three suspects allegely possessing firearms and offences of Illicit drug deals in Enugu State.

The police, in separate operations across the state in operations targeted areas notorious for violent crime and drug trafficking as part of its intensified crackdown on criminal activities.

The command stated that it’s officers recovered weapons and contraband from the arrestees during the enforement in Enugu on Thursday, following coordinated raids by operatives acting on credible intelligence.

It added that the suspects are currently in custody, with investigations ongoing to trace other members of the syndicates involved in the crimes.

The security agency reassured that it would continue to intensify it’s crackdown on criminality to ensure safety and security of the residents across State.

The command urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies and provide credible tips, which would be treated with confidentiality to aid the dismantling of criminal networks across the state.
