Cross River reschedules NDA admission screening

The Cross River State Government has rescheduled the screening test for candidates seeking admission into the 78 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), moving the exercise from June 13 to June 20, 2026.

The government said the adjustment was necessary as the earlier date coincided with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) mop-up examination, which could have affected candidates participating in both exercises.

The change was announced in a statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan, who said the screening will now hold at 7:00 a.m. on the new date.

He explained that the decision was aimed at ensuring eligible applicants are able to participate in both examinations without scheduling conflicts.

“The screening test earlier scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 20, 2026. This adjustment is to accommodate candidates who are also participating in the JAMB mop-up examination,” the statement read.

The government noted that the venue for the screening remains unchanged and advised candidates to review details previously communicated by the NDA via email, SMS notifications, or its application portal.

It urged all affected candidates to take note of the new date and make adequate preparations ahead of the exercise.

The state government also advised candidates requiring further clarification to contact the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
