Troops under Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have foiled a planned terrorist bandit in Kebbi State and also recovered arms and explosives from the armed group.
According to the Army, the encounter, during an ongoing clearance operation targeting elements linked to the Lakurawa terrorist group reflects on the continued pressure on terrorist and criminal networks across the North-West region as security forces intensify offensive operations to restore stability and public safet.
The incident on June 14, 2026, in the Dogon Daji general area of Dandi Local Government Area, overwhelming the terrorists and forcing them to abandon their positions in disarray as they fled into surrounding terrain.
