Bandits have killed two people and injured three others after attacking mourners who were gathered for a burial ceremony in a Kaduna State community.
The attack, which also left several residents fleeing for safety saw the terrorist open fire, leading to the number of deceased persons and injured individuals, resulting to emergency calls being made to avert the situation.
After the incident which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in Angwar Magaji village, Kauru Local Government Area, a security force said,“The attackers invaded the gathering and opened fire on mourners, leading to the deaths of two persons and injuries to three others,” adding that the injured victims were evacuated for medical attention and are currently receiving treatment, while military operatives continue to monitor developments in the affected community.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kaduna state police command nor the state government has issued a statement on the fresh attack.
