The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to staff welfare and national impact, assuring that “better days are not distant; they are being built.”
In a solidarity message to the management and staff of the Ministry and its agency to mark this year’s Workers’ Day on Friday in Abuja, the minister hailed the workers for their resilience, professionalism, and dedication to service.
She described them as the “engine” driving the ministry’s mandate of “advancing inclusion, strengthening families, and delivering social protection.”
Sulaiman-Ibrahim noted that the 2026 Workers’ Day aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which she said prioritises people, productivity, and shared prosperity.
According to her, the Ministry remained central to translating this vision into measurable outcomes nationwide.
Highlighting the ongoing reforms in the Ministry, the minister pointed to the Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention (RHSII-774), which is being implemented across all 774 local government areas to expand empowerment opportunities and deepen community engagement.
She emphasised that staff welfare was “not peripheral but fundamental,” stressing that improved working conditions and capacity building remain key priorities.
