  • Enoch Adeboye, a prominent cleric, discussed important qualities for choosing a life partner during a sermon.
  • He emphasized the need for men to prioritize practical attributes over physical appearance.
  • Key qualities highlighted include a woman’s cooking skills and ability to show hospitality.

Cleric Enoch Adeboye has sparked conversations following comments he made about the qualities he considers important in choosing a life partner.

While speaking during a sermon, the respected pastor advised men to look beyond appearance and focus on practical attributes such as a woman’s ability to cook and show hospitality, noting that these qualities can contribute to a more peaceful and stable home.

He further stressed the importance of intelligence and strong moral character, adding that such traits align with biblical principles on marriage and relationships.

According to him, men who overlook these essential qualities in a potential spouse may end up facing challenges in their marriage.

His words in part …

“Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook. We’re talking of excellent counsel. Only me can tell you these things. If she can’t cook, even if a prophet says this is your wife. Say thank you, keep her. Because if she can’t cook, if she can’t be hospitable, you’re heading for trouble. The Bible made it clear that your wife must be someone who is intelligent and hospitable…”

His remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some people support his views on traditional roles within marriage, others feel relationships today should be based on more modern and flexible expectations between partners.
