Kashim Musa Tumsah has officially picked his nomination form to run for governorship position under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe state.
The move confirms his entry into the race ahead of the party’s upcoming primary election.
In a statement released on Friday after collecting the form at the party secretariat, Tumsah an international petroleum lawyer and development advocate called for transparency and unity within the APC.
He urged his supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding.
Reacting to the reported endorsement of a rival aspirant, Tumsah expressed concern over lack of broader consultation and consensus.
He stressed that inclusivity and due process were key to fairness and party unity.
He also appealed to the APC national leadership in Abuja to remain neutral and vigilant during the primary.
He warned that any manipulation could hurt the party’s credibility.
Tumsah further called on APC members across Yobe to stay alert and protect the integrity of the election, emphasising that the party’s collective interest must come before individual ambitions.
