Resident Medical doctors Declare Nationwide Strike Over Allowances, Arrears, To Start Motion Tuesday

Medical medical doctors below the auspices of the Nationwide Affiliation of Resident Medical doctors (NARD) have mentioned they’d start a complete industrial and complete strike starting from 12a.m. on Tuesday. 

As a part of resolutions reached on the NARD Extraordinary Nationwide Government Council (e-NEC) assembly held just about on Saturday , the medical doctors mentioned they’d protest federal authorities’s resolution to take away the Skilled Allowance Desk (PAT),

Among the many calls for of the medical doctors have been the reversal of the choice to stop the implementation of the PAT beginning in April, 2026, quick cost of promotion arrears and wage arrears for particular centres and immediate conclusion of the method of paying of the 2026 MTRF.

One other demand of the medical doctors is the quick processing and cost of excellent 19 months’ arrears of the Skilled Allowance PAT.

 A press release signed by NARD’s Secretary Common, Dr. Shuaibu Ibrahim, mentioned, “Following intensive deliberations on this matter, the NEC determined to embark on a complete industrial and complete strike starting at 12am on Tuesday, April 7, 2026”. 

The NARD management urged its members to unite within the battle in opposition to what it described as injustice to a logical conclusion.
