2027: Katung backs Tinubu, Uba Sani, seeks second tenure in Senate


The lawmaker representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Marshall Katung,  has formally declared his intention to hunt re-election within the 2027 normal elections.

In a press release signed by his Particular Adviser on Media and Communications, Midat Joseph, the senator pledged his assist for the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kaduna state governor, Uba Sani.

Based on the assertion, Katung made the declaration throughout a gathering with the All Progressives Congress (APC) native authorities chairmen from the Kaduna South Senatorial District held in Abuja.

He mentioned the choice to hunt a second time period was aimed toward “consolidating the features already recorded, finishing ongoing tasks and initiatives, and sustaining high quality illustration for the folks of Southern Kaduna.”

He mentioned the “Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani’s growth drive require skilled and dedicated lawmakers who can translate insurance policies into tangible advantages on the grassroots.”

The lawmaker charged celebration stakeholders and officers to “intensify mobilisation efforts forward of the 2027 elections,” stressing the necessity for Southern Kaduna to stay firmly aligned with the APC with a view to maintain the developmental strides already achieved.
