A 45-year-old man, Adeniyi Benjamin, has allegedly admitted to violating medical laws though establishing and running clinical activities at the facility in Oyo State.
The police claimed that Benjamin also admitted treating people seeking help with fertility issues, activities being held fur seven years, and also stating that the unlawful act puts members of the public in huge danger.
Spokesperson of the Command, Ayanlade Olayinka, said Benjamin was arrested on October 2, 2026, in Ibadan at the facility identified as Life Is Good Hospital, after the command had received information about his activities.
Olayinka said officers recovered two weighing scales, four Quantum Magnetic Resonance Body Analyzers, one stethoscope and a large carton containing different medicines and specimen bottles from the facility.
The command said investigations were still ongoing to find out the full extent of the suspect’s activities and whether other people were involved in running the hospital.
The police said appropriate action would be taken according to the law as the investigation continues, while advising residents to check the qualifications and registration of anyone offering medical services.
It also urged residents to report suspicious medical facilities or people claiming to be medical practitioners without proper credentials to the police or relevant health authorities.
The security agency disclosed that it would continue working with relevant agencies and members of the public to prevent activities that could put the health and safety of residents at risk.
