The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Oyo State for the 2027 election, Sharafadeen Alli, has vowed that the party will defeat Governor Seyi Makinde’s Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the poll.
Alli said the APC had put in place the political structures and strategies needed to challenge the APM across the state and secure victory in the forthcoming elections.
The Oyo South Senator made the declaration yesterday in Ibadan while addressing party members, urging them to intensify their mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential, National Assembly, governorship and House of Assembly elections.
According to Alli, the party’s preparations must extend beyond its leadership to its grassroots structures, which he identified as crucial to its electoral campaign.
He said APC members should intensify their engagement with residents and ensure that the party’s structures remained active across the various communities in the state.
Alli stated, “We are strategically positioned to win the presidential, National Assembly, governorship and House of Assembly elections in Oyo State in 2027.”
The APC candidate, however, stressed that achieving the party’s electoral objective would require sustained work at the grassroots, urging members to reach out to voters and consolidate the party’s structures.
He added that the contest should not be centred on individuals, but on the collective responsibility of members to strengthen the APC and work towards its success in the 2027 elections.
