THE Executive Chairman, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Mrs Hulayat Omidiran, has congratulated the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued by the FCC spokesperson, Mr Lawrence Ademola, on Monday in Abuja, Omidiran commended the First Lady for her years of dedicated public service.
She described Tinubu as a compassionate mother, woman of courage and strong advocate for women, children and vulnerable Nigerians.
She also commended her continued commitment to initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women, children, families and underserved communities across the country.
Omidiran said Tinubu’s leadership was marked by compassion, resilience and commitment to humanity.
She noted that her role as First Lady had provided an important platform to advance causes affecting the wellbeing and future of Nigerian families.
The FCC chairman applauded Tinubu’s advocacy for women and the girl child, stressing that a more inclusive Nigeria required every citizen, irrespective of gender, background or place of origin, to have a fair opportunity to realise their potential.
“Every girl deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, develop her abilities and become whatever she is capable of becoming.
“When we empower a woman, we strengthen a family; when we educate a girl, we invest in the future of a nation,” she said.
Omidiran also commended Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative for its interventions in areas including education, health, economic empowerment and social welfare.
She stressed that sustained investment in women and children remained essential to national development.
“As you celebrate 66 years of a life of impact, service and sacrifice, may you continue to be strengthened with wisdom, grace and good health to carry out the responsibilities entrusted to you,” she said.(NAN)
