Real estate businessman King Ochacho has responded to questions surrounding the house he gifted content creator Peller, denying claims that the gesture was intended to make him promote his son’s music.
Ochacho said the property was given to Peller from his heart and without any condition attached to the gift.
Speaking about the issue, he said he was in Lagos for a wedding when he saw two young couples getting married and decided to bless them with a house.
According to Ochacho, the property was not given to Peller as part of any arrangement connected to his son’s music.
“I didn’t give him the house to come and start advertising my son. No! It’s not because of my son’s music. I just gave to him from my heart,” he said.
Ochacho also addressed questions about the current state of the property, confirming that the house is still under construction.
“As I speak to you now, the house is under construction,” he said, adding that he was working on the penthouse and preparing the property for handover.
The businessman said he had also decided to furnish the house, saying the additional gesture would allow Peller to have a say in some of the interior choices.
He said Peller would be able to choose details such as the colours of the curtains, portraits and other aspects of the internal design.
Ochacho also criticised online commentators who had questioned the circumstances surrounding the gift.
He argued that a gift given without conditions should not automatically be interpreted as an arrangement requiring the recipient to promote the giver’s interests.

“If a politician gives you something, they will tell you to go and campaign for them,” he said, arguing that he never instructed Peller to promote his son.
According to Ochacho, Peller’s promotion of his son was his own decision.
He added that Peller’s actions had encouraged him to go further by furnishing the property.
The businessman also urged people to work hard and remain prayerful, before making another striking claim about his own financial journey.
“I made my first 1 billion when I was 21,” he said.
The claim about his early wealth has also featured in recent discussions around Ochacho’s business story. He previously said he made his first ₦1 billion through the charcoal export business, where he worked as an agent connecting a company with Chinese buyers. That financial claim is his personal account and has not been independently verified with financial documents.
Ochacho’s latest comments come amid continuing public interest in the relationship between the businessman, Peller and his son, Ice King.
The house gift had already attracted attention online, particularly because Peller has publicly promoted Ice King’s music.
Ochacho’s latest explanation therefore shifts the focus from speculation about the reason behind the gift to his own account of why he made it.
For now, Ochacho maintains that the house was a personal gift and that Peller’s promotion of his son was voluntary rather than a condition attached to the property.
