Senator Ned Woko has opened up on his reported relationship with his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, saying he remains willing to maintain a cordial relationship with her for the sake of their children.
Woko, in a statement attributed to him, said he deliberately kept his doors open to Daniels to enable her to maintain a relationship with their children, stressing that whatever disagreements may exist between the couple should not affect the children.
“I opened my doors and gave her the freedom to come and see our children because, as a father, I can never stand between my children and the affection of their mother,” he said.
According to him, the welfare of their children remained more important than whatever differences might have developed between the couple.
“Whatever may have happened between us, the children should never carry the weight of it,” he added.
Nwoko further claimed that during one of Daniels’ visits, she repeatedly appealed to him for another opportunity to discuss their relationship.

He quoted her as saying: “Zaddy, please, we need to talk. Zaddy, please give me another chance. Zaddy, I am still your sweet baddie.”
The senator said he listened to her without responding with anger, maintaining that he had deliberately avoided retaliating against criticisms or allegations made against him on social media.
“I hold no hatred against you,” he said, adding that despite what had been said about him publicly, he had chosen not to “answer bitterness with bitterness.”
Nwoko, however, said that if Daniels genuinely wanted reconciliation or wished to correct what he described as damaging narratives about him, she should publicly address the issues on the same social media platforms where, according to him, his name had previously been attacked.
“But if you truly mean what you are saying, then go back to the same social media where my name was dragged through the mud and tell them the truth,” he said.
The senator framed his demand as one of accountability rather than retaliation. “I am not asking for revenge. I am asking for accountability,” he said.
He also suggested that he was not necessarily shutting the door on reconciliation, but wanted actions to demonstrate sincerity.
“I am not closing the door; I am simply waiting for the truth to walk through it,” he stated.
The comments add another dimension to the public attention surrounding the relationship between Woko and Daniels, whose marriage has generated considerable interest among fans and followers of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
While social media discussions have produced competing narratives about the couple, Woko’s latest remarks appear to place emphasis on accountability, public clarification and the interests of their children.
He ended his statement on a reflective note: “I am still waiting.”
