The Jigawa Hisbah command has commenced training for its security officers in an effort aimed at bolstering capacity operations in the fight to curb illegal and dastardly acts in the area.
The board informed that it has begun the initiative which would be held for one-week and targeted for over 2,600 of its security personnel to enforce professionalism and ensure more knowledge of Sharia compliant enforcement procedures for an effective service delivery in the area.
The board’s Public Relations Officer, PRO, Dauda Hadejia, said that the participants consisting of men and women drawn from the 27 local government areas arrived for the exercise at the Dutse NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, in Fanisau, after which they were screened by instructors before proceeding form registration.
Hadejia, on Monday, said that each of the participant’s were systematically screened to ensure order and accountability and were issued official materials for the duration of the event.
The PRO informed that the attendees were also given identification tags and other required training kits to ensure proper identification during the course, in line with the board’s mandate.
“The Board flagged off a comprehensive general training for all our security personnel to enhance their capacity, discipline and service delivery across the state,” Hadejia stated.
“We have guards from every single LGA in Jigawa, plus our headquarters staff. They are all gathered here at Fanisau Camp for this important capacity-building exercise.
“On arrival, our instructors conducted proper screening of all participants. This is to ensure that only qualified and fit personnel take part in the training and at the end of this week-long training, we expect to see a more disciplined, alert and community-friendly Hisbah security outfit across all 27 LGAs,” Hadejia said.
Furthermore, the Jigawa Hisbah spokesperson called on the public to support and corporate the Hisbah Board in its efforts to promote morality and security in Jigawa.
