“I usually grab his phone when he goes wild on Instagram Live” – Burna Boy’s mother opens up about his personality
Bose Ogulu, the mother of Afrobeats singer Burna Boy, has opened up about his personality, explaining why she believes people must make allowances for his behaviour despite his controversial moments.
Speaking about her son during an appearance on Channels TV hosted by media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, she noted that there is a clear difference between her tweets and Burna Boy’s.
She likened the Grammy-winning artiste to a tapestry, explaining that trying to pull too hard at one aspect of his personality could affect everything else that makes him unique.
“You can always notice the difference between when I tweet and when Burna tweets. What I’ve come to learn is that artists like him, they’re like tapestry. If you pull at one thread too hard, everything will unravel.
“So you must make allowances for this person being himself, because it’s the same emotion that what you love about him comes from. Within, we do what we can. I usually grab his phone from him anytime he goes wild on Instagram Live,” she said.
Her comments highlight the balance she tries to maintain as Burna Boy’s mother, particularly when his outspoken personality takes centre stage on social media.
The singer has frequently attracted attention for his activities and statements online, especially during Instagram Live sessions, where he has been known to speak candidly with fans and address various issues.
Burna Boy’s mother’s remarks offer another perspective on the personality behind the award-winning singer, suggesting that the same traits that sometimes cause controversy are also part of what makes him admired by many.
