A three-storey hotel building has collapsed in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, just hours after officials of the FCT Administration’s Development Control Department sealed the structure and ordered occupants to vacate the premises. The building reportedly collapsed at about 8:00pm on Monday, September 7, with the incident occurring near the Zone 4 Junction.
Emergency responders, including personnel from the FCT Fire Service and medical teams, are currently at the scene conducting search and rescue operations. At least three ambulances have been deployed as authorities work to determine whether anyone is trapped or injured. The exact number of casualties, if any, has yet to be confirmed as rescue efforts continue.
