PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has congratulated Prof. Babagana Zulum, Governor of Borno, on his 57th birthday, commending his visionary and people-centred leadership.
Tinubu praised Zulum for bringing stability to Borno and advancing development through investments in human capital and critical social infrastructure.
The President’s felicitation is contained in a statement by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday in Abuja.
Tinubu particularly applauded the governor’s investments in rural clinics, schools and skill acquisition centres, describing the projects as having far-reaching impact on the people.
He also commended Zulum’s pragmatism, ability to rally people around common causes and efforts to promote national unity.
“Gov. Zulum is one of the exceptional governors of this dispensation. He brought the rigour and discipline of academia into governance, introduced landmark reforms, and fostered development in Borno.
“I thank him for his support and encourage him to keep providing exemplary leadership to the people.
“As he celebrates this birthday, I wish him more years of good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve Borno and the nation,” the President said.
Tinubu also wished the governor continued success and fulfilment in his service to the state and Nigeria. (NAN)
