Nigerian financial commentator Gehgeh has criticised content creator Mavo over an alleged disclosure concerning singer Shallipopi’s financial situation, questioning why a private matter involving someone regarded as a close associate was brought into the public space.
Gehgeh made the comments while reacting to a controversy surrounding an alleged private conversation between Mavo and Shallipopi.
He accused Mavo of betraying the singer by discussing what he described as Shallipopi’s financial difficulties publicly.
“Mavo, you’re a bad person. Shallipopi is like a brother to you; what would you gain from letting the streets know he’s broke?” Gehgeh said.
The financial commentator argued that personal financial struggles should not be exposed publicly by people within an individual’s close circle.
His comments have added to the online discussion surrounding the alleged private conversation, although the circumstances surrounding the exchange and the claims about Shallipopi’s finances remain disputed.
