Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, marking a new chapter in their nearly decade-long relationship.
The couple, who have been together for about 10 years, kept the ceremony private, with their five children reportedly present as they exchanged vows.
Ronaldo, 41, and Rodríguez, 32, married yesterday in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, a coastal town near Lisbon.
The couple later confirmed the marriage in a joint social media post featuring their wedding rings.
The wedding came exactly one year after Rodríguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, when she shared a photograph of her engagement ring on social media.
The couple had largely kept their wedding plans private.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have two daughters together and are raising five children in total, including Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., and twins Eva and Mateo.
In 2022, the couple also suffered the loss of their newborn son, Ángel.
The couple first met in Madrid while Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store. Their relationship became public in 2017, and they have since remained one of the world’s most closely followed celebrity couples.
Their wedding also ended months of speculation over when and where they would tie the knot.
Earlier reports had incorrectly suggested that the couple would marry at a cathedral in Madeira. Instead, they chose a quiet ceremony in Cascais, away from the crowds and intense media attention.
