The Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr Oliver Ali Aba, Monday, tasked Nigerians to work together for the peace and progress of the nation.
Dr Aba said this while reading a communiqué issued at the end of the 50th/15th biennial conference of the Methodist Church Nigeria at a press conference in Ibadan.
He stated that Nigeria is “a blessed nation” and will overcome its present challenges, adding, God had “done everything meaningfully well for us to survive and to grow as a people.”
He said the Methodist Church will continue to contribute to national development through prayer, constructive engagement and speaking the truth whenever necessary, as the church must remain “the conscience of the society, the voice of the restless” and should be prepared to partner with government in the interest of national development.
