MS NOW host mocks Mike Lindell’s ‘absurd’ election math meltdown: ‘Not even close’

MS NOW’s Jacob Soboroff opened Wednesday’s edition of “All In” with a profile of one of the most colorful MAGA election deniers to get dealt a defeat this year.

Specifically, he said, it went down in Minnesota, “where Mike Lindell, the MyPillow guy, aka Mike Pillow, aka Lumpy Pillow Kiss My You-Know-What, was a candidate in the Republican primary for governor. Lindell used his own money to spread election lies in the lead-up to January 6th” — and he was even photographed exiting the White House “with a memo appearing to bear the phrases ‘Insurrection Act now’ and ‘martial law if necessary.’”

True to form, said Soboroff, as the election results were tallied this week, the former bedding products CEO “was behind by double digits to Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth,” but on his Lindell TV platform, he spun it a very different way.

“We just gained 5,000 votes,” said Lindell in the clip. “And the last 13,000 votes that were counted, we got 5,000. We gained 5,000 votes. So let’s think about this. That means I got like, I don’t know, 10,000 and the rest of them got 3,000. If this is a sign, we will have the lead within an hour.”

“The math did not check out,” said Soboroff. And in fact, “it was not even close” — but as of now, Lindell is still refusing to concede the election. Soboroff played another clip.

“All of a sudden it went like this for me,” shouted Lindell. “When the day of. And then it went straight up for her. It just doesn’t make sense. I’m not going to give up this race until the votes are counted. That’s nonsense.”

To be clear, said Soboroff, “The votes are counted … Lisa Demuth was declared the winner by the Associated Press. She defeated Mike Pillow by 11 points and counting, and the Trump-endorsed candidate would know that if he visited the election results on his own website, the denialism is completely absurd.”

Ultimately, however, it is “also completely Trumpian,” said Soboroff. “Like Mike Lindell, he believes any vote against him is a rigged one. But Trump is the President of the United States, and he is already pushing the envelope.”
