The Nigerian Football League side, Katsina United, has announced the death of one of his player, Ozor Chinedu, who has tragically died while playing in a friendly match for the team.
Chinedu, who was recently signed into the club, was said to have fallen into the mishap by slumping to the ground during the friendly match with Niger Tornadoes in preparation for the 2026/27 season.
The club has since the incident during early hours of Tuesday, expressed grief and paid condolences to teammates and family of the deceased, adding that more necessary information would be passed as it emerge.
