The governor said the appointments and redeployments are aimed at enhancing efficiency in the state civil service, urging the affected officials to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability and commitment to improved public service delivery.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Head of Civil Service, Bilkisu Shehu-Maimota, and signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Rukayya Uba-Sulaiman.
According to the statement, Yusuf congratulated the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries on their appointments, describing them as well deserved and urging them to regard the opportunity as a call to greater responsibility and selfless service to the people of Kano State.
He charged both the newly appointed and redeployed Permanent Secretaries to discharge their duties with diligence, professionalism, integrity and accountability while working closely with their respective ministries, departments and agencies to advance the government’s development agenda.
The governor stressed the importance of collaboration among the senior civil servants to improve public service delivery, expressing confidence in their ability to justify the trust reposed in them through exemplary leadership and commitment to duty.
He also urged the officials to uphold the core values of the Kano State Civil Service by embracing excellence, transparency and innovation in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The statement added that the appointments and redeployments take immediate effect, with all affected officers directed to complete the handing-over and taking-over processes on or before Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
