ISRT 2026: Global experts converge in Lagos to advance cancer care across Africa

 

Leading experts in nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical therapy, oncology and precision medicine from Africa and beyond are set to converge in Lagos for the 2026 International Symposium on Radiopharmaceutical Therapy (ISRT 2026).

The two-day symposium is scheduled for August 28 and 29, 2026, at Loveworld Medical Centre, Lagos, and is expected to provide a major platform for scientific exchange, professional education and collaboration on emerging approaches to cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The event will bring together specialists from Nigeria, South Africa, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Germany, India and the United States, among other countries, reflecting its international scope.

The participating experts are drawn from fields including nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical therapy, theragnostics, molecular imaging, radiopharmacy, oncology and precision medicine.

Focus on New Cancer Treatment Technologies

ISRT 2026 will showcase developments in targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies, molecular imaging, radioligand therapy and other emerging approaches to precision cancer treatment.

The symposium is designed to examine how advances in these fields can improve the detection and treatment of cancer while supporting the development of more targeted and personalised approaches to patient care.

Beyond conventional scientific presentations, the programme will feature practical workshops, clinical case discussions and multidisciplinary learning sessions aimed at connecting scientific advances with real-world clinical practice.
