Group hails Murtala’s elevation to commissioner of police


The elevation of Alhaji Tijjani Muhammad Murtala from the rank of deputy commissioner of police to commissioner of police has been described as timely and well deserved.

The Chairman, Ma Development Association Dutsin-ma, Katsina state, Alhaji Sani Bawa Dutsin-ma, made the remark in a press statement at the weekend.

He said it was the first time in the history of Dutsin-ma local government area that its indigene would be promoted to such a position. Sani Bawa disclosed thata number of local government areas have been carved out of the local government area.

He maintained that hard work, honesty, and dedication to his official assignment justified the regular promotion of Murtala in the Nigeria Police Force.

The chairman observed that the newly appointed commissioner of police, retained his posting to Jigawa state after serving as deputy commissioner of police. He noted that this underscores his cordial relationship with his resident community. 

“The Ma Development Association Dutsin-ma is confident that the commissioner will remain a good ambassador of Dutsin-ma in particular and Katsina state general. 

“We wish the new appointee Allah’s guidance, protection, and blessings throughout his tenure and beyond”, Sani Bawa Dutsin-ma said.
