As per Downdetector, which tracks outages across the country over 500 people complained about facing issues. These issues have been going on for some time, as per complaints on social media.

The Downdetector map indicates outages have hit Los Angeles, Dallas, the New York and Washington areas, and the Jacksonville and Miami areas.

Meanwhile, Frontier responded to complaints online. “I completely understand your frustration that your service is down. I would be more than happy to look into this if you can send a direct message, so I can get additional information,” a representative said on X.

Frontier internet down: Verizon slammed for service

Verizon was slammed for Frontier internet being down. People commented that it was down in ‘southern indiana’ and ‘mid east indiana’.

On X, frustrations flowed over. One person tagged both Verizon and Frontier and wrote “@Verizon it’s now almost 4 hours with the frontier fiber internet service being down . No update from customer service and no ETA either. They are simply busy upselling routers and high speed upgrades . This is pathetic.”

Another added “@Verizon @FrontierCorp Does the concept of failover redundancy and resiliency actually exist in your fiber network ? It’s been 3 hours since frontier fiber has been down and it’s irritating in today’s age with all the modern self redundant infrastructure around.”

Yet another person said “Absolute garbage support! Internets been down all day after storms rolled through, call tech support said they would have to send someone in a WEEK! Then have the gull to try and sell me a whole new plan from Verizon!”.

Problems appear to have been occurring over the past few days. One person wrote “Frontier internet is down in northport Florida and the city uses the same tower for phone access. We have no phone and no internet in town. Had to go to a Wawa to get online via WiFi. This is coming up on 24hrs,” about 17 hours prior to the surge in issues across the country.
