A fire outbreak has gutted a building on Abudu Street, off University Road, in Lagos State, destroying valuables and leaving residents counting their losses.
The cause of the fire was yet to be determined as of the time of filing this report, while efforts were ongoing to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
According to eyewitnesses on Wednesday, officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were on the ground battling to extinguish the fire.
No casualty had been confirmed at the time of filing this report, while the full extent of the damage was yet to be officially ascertained.
