A dispatch rider, identified as Austin Ikenna Adiele, has allegedly disappeared with 35 grams of gold valued at about ₦7 million, which he was entrusted to deliver to a customer in Lagos.
Adiele reportedly worked with Errand Boys Express Logistics, located at No. 5 Julius Nnamere Close, Igando, Lagos.
According to the report, the dispatch rider collected the gold for delivery but allegedly absconded with it and switched off his mobile phone, making it difficult to establish his whereabouts.

Following police intervention, Adiele was reportedly traced to the Surulere area of Lagos, where he was last seen on Monday, August 17, 2026.
Efforts to locate him have reportedly remained unsuccessful, while the whereabouts of the missing gold are also unknown.
The incident has raised concerns among residents and logistics operators over the security of high-value items entrusted to dispatch riders for delivery.

The public has also been advised against confronting or attempting to apprehend the suspect, but instead to provide any useful information to the appropriate security authorities.
