David attended the festival with his brother, Alejandro Granado, but the two reportedly split up to watch different bands performing on separate stages.

Alejandro said online that he and David had been apart for roughly 90 minutes before David was reportedly admitted to a local emergency room around 8:19 p.m.

Based on information Alejandro said he gathered from other attendees, David reportedly walked himself to a medical tent before later being taken to the hospital.

Alejandro claimed doctors determined David had suffered a severe brain injury and performed multiple surgeries.

The circumstances surrounding the reported injury have not been publicly confirmed.

The family has also raised concerns over what they described as a lack of communication from the festival. “I sent an email the night I was called to the emergency room for my brother. The festival has yet to respond in 4 days.”

Alejandro later shared a post reporting that his brother had died and asking anyone with information about what happened to contact him directly.

Alejandro also claimed that David’s emergency contact was not notified after he reportedly arrived at the medical tent or after he was transported to the hospital.

It remains unclear how David was reportedly injured or what happened in the moments leading up to his medical emergency.

As of Friday evening, festival organizers had not publicly commented on the incident.
