APC chieftain says opposition has no strong case against Tinubu

APC member Alwan Hassan has defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arguing that the opposition has failed to present substantial criticisms of his administration.

Speaking during a political discussion on Channels, Hassan questioned the relevance of the academic qualifications of former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Anambra State governor Peter Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, insisting that educational credentials alone do not determine leadership performance.

He further accused opposition figures of being driven by personal ambition, claiming they have little of substance to use against Tinubu’s government.

According to Hassan, the focus should instead be on assessing what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration over the past few years.

He said in part …

“Tell me what Jonathan’s PhD has done to Nigeria. Tell me how Obi’s BSc has helped improve his communication skills. Tell me what it has done to Atiku to help him navigate and know the time to contest or when to concede for the best person of the time.

These guys are greedy guys. They don’t have any substance to hold this man. We are 3 to 4 years in government and asiwaju has done a lot. Let’s talk about what this man has in his last 4 years….”
