His closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won in 11 local government areas but fell short of Adeleke’s total votes.

Following his victory, Adeleke thanked residents of the state for their support and confidence in his administration.

The governor assured voters that he would continue ongoing development projects while addressing areas where improvements are needed.

He pledged to build on the achievements of his first term and work towards delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of Osun State.
