No fewer than 10,000 youths are expected to storm the streets of Osogbo in a massive show of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The mobilisation, under the City Praise Life campaign, is being spearheaded by Taiwo and Kehinde Adegboyega of Ileri-Oluwa, Iragbiji, as part of efforts to galvanise young voters across the 30 local government areas in support of the APC standard-bearer.
In a statement made available to The Guild on Thursday, spokesperson for the City Praise Movement, Taiwo Adegboyega, said the initiative would provide a platform for young people to actively participate in the electoral process while projecting the development agenda of the APC candidate.
He disclosed that the campaign roadshow would feature over 10,000 youths alongside music trucks, campaign vehicles, dance troupes and more than 20 minibuses conveying supporters through major streets of Osogbo.
According to him, the procession will take off from the Osogbo Stadium Roundabout and pass through Oke-Baale, Oke-Fia, Alekuwodo, Oja-Oba, Lameco, Dada Estate, Abere, Isale-Osun, Olorunsogo, Ring Road, Old Garage and Bata before returning to the take-off point.
Adegboyega described Oyebamiji as a seasoned administrator with proven competence in public service, citing his performance as Commissioner for Finance, where he was credited with prudent financial management and fiscal discipline.
He said the APC candidate remains committed to youth empowerment, economic growth, infrastructure renewal, grassroots development and improved social welfare.
“The time has come to restore purposeful governance in Osun. Our state deserves visionary leadership that will create opportunities for young people, attract investments, improve infrastructure and deliver the dividends of democracy to every community,” he said.
The organisers said the roadshow would combine entertainment with voter mobilisation, featuring live bands, traditional drummers, singers and dancers, while campaign volunteers engage residents and distribute campaign materials across strategic locations.
They added that adequate security arrangements, medical personnel and logistics teams had been put in place to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free exercise.
The mobilisation follows the AMBO/KAYODE 2026 City Praise Rally, which attracted thousands of residents, party supporters and community leaders across Osogbo, a development organisers described as an indication of growing grassroots support for the APC governorship ticket.
Campaign leaders reaffirmed their commitment to promoting inclusive governance, youth development, job creation and sustainable economic growth, insisting that the movement represents a broader call for active youth participation in shaping the future of Osun State.
