UCA hails FG for upholding quality assurance of Niger Republic institutions

The Union of Concerned Academias (UCA) has commended the federal government for complying with and adopting the official list of approved higher education institutions in the Republic of Niger as duly validated and transmitted by the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education of the Republic of Niger.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja, chairman UCA, Dr. Ayanlola Ayanyimika, said the decision demonstrates the federal government’s unwavering commitment to preserving the integrity, credibility, and international reputation of Nigeria’s educational system.

“It further reinforces the government’s resolve to ensure that only qualifications obtained from duly recognized and quality-assured institutions are accorded official recognition within Nigeria,” he said.

He added that the inability of certain institutions to appear on the official list of approved higher education institutions in the Republic of Niger is a clear indication that they fell short of the minimum requirements for accreditation, quality assurance, institutional governance, academic infrastructure.

“In view of this development, we respectfully advise graduates of institutions whose names do not appear on the approved list not to engage in media propaganda, misinformation, or scandalous attacks against officials of the Federal Ministry of Education”, Dr. Ayanyimika said.
