Trump endorses MAGA darling Mike Lindell for Minnesota Governor

President Donald Trump endorsed Republican Mike Lindell for Minnesota governor early Wednesday morning.

“Mike Lindell, the “Pillow Man,” and one of America’s greatest and most hard working Patriots, is running to be GOVERNOR OF MINNESOTA,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“He truly loves Minnesota, as do I, and wants to bring it back from oblivion and embarrassment,” the president continued.

Lindell, an outspoken election denier, faces fellow Republicans, House Speaker Lisa Demuth and Kendall Qualls, in the August primary, reports Minnesota Reformer.

Critics immediately condemned the endorsement, arguing it guarantees victory for Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who has amassed a massive fundraising advantage.

Political commentators lambasted the move on social media.

Former White House ethics lawyer Richard W. Painter wrote, “The insurrection pillow man? This is a guaranteed way to give [Klobuchar] a huge landslide victory in the governor’s race this November, heading right into the 2028 presidential primaries.”

While journalist Aaron Rupar noted, “Months after his ICE thugs terrorized Minnesota for months and murdered two of our citizens, Trump claims ‘I love Minnesota’ while endorsing Mike Lindell for governor. (Lindell has 0 chance of winning a general election here).”

“Trump endorsing Mike Lindell is the political equivalent of putting a pillow over Minnesota’s face,” the account SundaeDivine, a political commentator, wrote on X.
