President Donald Trump’s long-standing claim of being 6-foot-3 was contradicted by a White House-shared video from the World Cup final Sunday, according to the Daily Beast.
The video showed Trump shaking hands with Spanish soccer player Rodrigo Hernández Cascante, also known as Rodri, who is listed at 6-foot-3 according to ESPN, yet Trump appeared several inches shorter.
The president’s l White House physicals from 2018 and 2025 list him at 6-foot-3, yet multiple photographs cast doubt on his true height.
Since 1999, Trump has consistently claimed to be 6-foot-3. He also cited the height in 2016 during an exchange with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Last month, a photo showed Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), 6-foot-4, towering over Trump by several inches. And recent photographs comparing Trump to his daughter-in-law Lara Trump also contradicted his stated height.
The White House did not immediately comment on the height contradiction exposed by the World Cup footage.
