Drake loses $1.5m W-Cup final bet

Canadian rapper, Drake, has lost the sum of $1.5 million bet during the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup which involved Spain and Argentina.

Drake, summed up as an unsuccessful gambler, due to occurrences of failed prediction, placed a bet on Argentina to beat the eventual winners, Spain, on Stake betting platform, and lost his bet as La Roja defeated Lionel Messi’s side, no thanks to the smashing goal by Ferran Toress’ goal in extra-time.

Reports state that has the Albeiceleste won, the singer would have won more than $5.1 million, but the result proved to be the latest of setbacks for Drake’s growing list of unsuccessful sport wagers, following a recent stake backing Conor McGregor, who was beaten by Mex Holloway.
